Acceptable Use Policy
1. Spirit of this policy
ToolAudition is a comparison tool. Each call you submit is forwarded to a third-party provider that has its own rules. You agree to use the Service in ways that comply with applicable law, with our Terms of Service, and with each provider’s usage policy. When in doubt, do not submit the query.
2. Prohibited content
You may not use the Service to generate, request, transmit, or store content that:
- Sexually exploits or endangers minors, including any depiction of children in a sexual or sexualized context (zero tolerance — we will report to NCMEC and law enforcement).
- Promotes terrorism, violent extremism, or targeted violence against an identifiable person or group.
- Provides operational instructions, ingredient lists, or planning detail for weapons capable of mass casualties (chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, or explosive).
- Is malware, ransomware, a phishing kit, or other tool whose primary purpose is to compromise computer systems.
- Infringes copyright, trademark, trade secret, or other intellectual property rights, including by laundering protected works through paraphrase.
- Defames a person, business, or organization, or constitutes harassment, doxxing, or stalking.
- Is fraudulent, deceptive, or designed to manipulate elections, public-health guidance, or financial markets.
- Reveals non-public personal information about another person without lawful basis (especially government IDs, health, financial, or biometric data).
- Is unlawful in the jurisdiction where you reside or where the recipient is located.
3. Prohibited conduct
- Circumventing rate limits, billing logic, or safety filters (yours, ours, or a provider’s).
- Reselling, repackaging, or fronting the Service as your own without our written consent. Embedding the Service inside another product requires an Enterprise plan.
- Automated scraping, mass crawling, or load testing without written authorization.
- Sharing accounts, distributing credentials, or operating multiple free-tier accounts to evade limits.
- Attempting to extract another user’s prompts, outputs, or personal information.
- Reverse-engineering, decompiling, or probing the Service except where mandatory law permits.
- Using the Service to train, fine-tune, distill, or evaluate a competing model.
- Submitting protected health information (PHI), payment card data subject to PCI-DSS, or other regulated data that requires a Business Associate or equivalent agreement we have not signed.
- Using the Service from jurisdictions sanctioned by U.S. OFAC or comparable authorities, or on behalf of sanctioned persons.
4. High-risk use cases
You may not use the Service, in whole or in part, as the sole basis for decisions in any of the following categories without independent human review and the level of professional oversight the law requires: medical diagnosis or treatment, mental-health crisis triage, legal advice, life-safety operations, employment decisions, education admissions or grading, credit, insurance, and law-enforcement or judicial actions. The Service is a productivity tool, not a regulated professional.
5. Provider rules
Each provider listed in the Provider Disclosure has its own policies. By submitting a query to a provider, you represent that your query complies with that provider’s policy. We may decline to route, or may post-hoc suspend access to, queries that we believe violate a provider’s policy or trigger a provider’s abuse-prevention system.
6. Enforcement
We may, at our discretion and without prior notice: refuse to route a query, throttle your account, suspend or terminate access, refund or refuse to refund used credits, preserve content to comply with law, and report to law-enforcement authorities. We may also notify affected providers of policy violations so they can apply their own remedies.
6.1 Automated warning and suspension system
ToolAudition automatically screens prompts and outputs for content that may violate this Policy. When a violation is detected:
- The request is blocked immediately and you are shown a warning explaining the reason.
- The warning is recorded against your account with a timestamp. Warnings clear automatically after 72 hours of no further violations.
- If you accumulate seven (7) warnings within any rolling 72-hour window, your account is suspended.
- Certain categories — including content sexually exploiting minors, weapons of mass destruction synthesis, and credible threats of targeted violence — may result in immediate suspension and a report to law enforcement, irrespective of warning count.
- You may appeal a suspension by emailing trust@toolaudition.com. Appeals are reviewed within five (5) business days.
The automated screen is intentionally cautious and may flag false positives, especially for security research, medical, journalistic, or educational use. If you believe a block was incorrect, contact us with the timestamp and we will review.
7. Reporting
If you believe a user is violating this policy, email trust@toolaudition.com. Include URLs or screenshots and the date/time. We will acknowledge within five (5) business days.
